Reinventing Barbie - Final Major Project '24

What is my Reinventing Project?

For my final university project, I chose a hybrid model that combined academic research with a practical marketing application. I wrote a 6,000-word essay titled "How Has the Television Marketing of Mattel’s Barbie Evolved Between 1959 and 2023?", exploring the brand's shifting strategies, cultural impact, and adaptation to modern audiences.

 

Alongside this, I developed a comprehensive marketing strategy for a new doll I conceptualized, applying insights from my research to create a campaign that reflected contemporary trends and consumer behavior. This project allowed me to blend analytical and creative skills, demonstrating my ability to both study industry evolution and apply marketing principles in a real-world context.
