Static Music PR - 2023

Group Project - Music Promotions

During my second year of university, I had the opportunity to work on a music industry project as part of a team of five, where we focused on marketing for an emerging band called The Lilypads. This project was a valuable learning experience in collaboration, strategy, and execution. We had to start by creating our own agency and working with the client to have a good PR and marketing plan.

My role involved overseeing key aspects of the campaign, website, branding, and promotional outreach (specific tasks are detailed in the presentation). As a team, we developed a marketing strategy that aligned with the band’s identity and target audience, ensuring consistency across various platforms. We created engaging social media content, designed promotional materials, and explored ways to increase the band’s visibility through digital campaigns and audience engagement strategies. Regular meetings allowed us to refine our approach based on feedback and analytics, ensuring our efforts were effective.

This experience taught me the importance of communication, adaptability, and creativity when working on real-world music marketing campaigns, and it reinforced my ability to manage multiple tasks while collaborating with others toward a shared goal.

Student Reality Cheques - 2023

University Project- Media Activism Artefact

During my third year of university, I created a media artefact as a form of activism, focusing on the cost of living crisis affecting university students across the country. The goal of this project was to raise awareness, provide educational resources, and amplify student voices on this critical issue. To effectively reach my target demographic, I chose to develop a website that combined informative blog posts with a podcast series featuring firsthand student experiences.

The blog posts were designed to educate students on financial challenges, budgeting tips, and available support, ensuring they had access to practical advice. Meanwhile, the podcast bank served as a platform for students to share their personal struggles and the real-life impact of rising living costs. By incorporating both written and audio content, the project catered to different audience preferences and encouraged engagement. This experience not only strengthened my skills in digital media production and content creation but also deepened my understanding of using media as a tool for advocacy and social change.

My First Ever Website & Podcast - 2021

My First University Project- Website & Podcast Introduction

This was my first ever university project, and also my first ever website!

As part of my first year university module, I created a podcast, with a correlating website called 'The Gamer Shamer Podcast' speaking on the effects of on screen violence.

All the artwork found on this site is created by myself using procreat. To create this podcast a TASCAM was used.
